Raayner Aice: Wow! Winning Best Model Nigeria 2014 would bring me great joy and a sense of fulfillment because it is most definitely going to help me fulfill my dreams of becoming an amazing super model. Ever since I was 13, I loved modeling because for me it was always about representing something and been the figure representing an idea. Until not long ago, I did not even know the price worth of winning. When a friend asked me, I only knew that the winner gets to represent Nigeria Internationally. It has always been about not just being a super model but a role model, besides what modeling implies generally most people do not know that modeling helps boost up confidence and improve body posture.

What sports do you play if any?

Sports has not always been one of my most favourite things to do because I will never forget the entire school laughing at the skinny girl trying to race, I only wanted to help but I was not given the opportunity because apparently I was very skinny. As time went on, things changed and everyone changed, I still wanted to show them what my capabilities were, so practiced racing with my neighborhood friends beating them each time and that was how I became the race Queen. I ran for my school till I graduated. I am excellent at racing, besides that racing is a very good cardiovascular activity which basically every human needs.

What other talents do you possess?

Speaking of talent, my grandmother was a beautiful singer and she led the village choir till she passed on. My mother is not very much of a singer and so are my sisters. Only me out of the four children took after my grandmother. I have sang in the choir ever since I could speak with ease and I led the children choir between the ages of 9-13. After I clocked 13 I went to a boarding school which takes all of your time so I could not be active in the teens church choir. I figured joining the school choir would be best so I did that... I became the lead soprano singer. I find singing very interesting and fun.

In what ways have family and friends been supportive of your modeling career?

*Smiles* My family has been amazingly supportive. Like I said earlier I have always wanted to model since the age of 13. My father has always supported me with all that he could, I remember him telling people that I was going to become like "Oluchi Face of Africa". My mother on the other hand also has been really supportive because when she was much younger she also liked modeling and she had the height (5"11) and body built for it but the fashion industry in Nigeria had not grown at all by that time so she did air hosting for a couple of years, sometimes I say to myself that even passion and love for things can be transferred from parent to offspring. She bought me my first pair of heels to practice cat-walking.
