Miss African Spirit Contestants:

From South Africa...

Nicole Musson

Profession/ Education: Senior O.T.A – Occupational Therapy - Government (NHS)

UGPulse.com asked the contestants 3 questions...

With the state of the global economy today, what opportunities are out there for African nations and how do you think they should grab and take advantage of those opportunities?

I feel that with the current experienced recession in 2009 and how we have begun to recover, I think South Africa is regaining a stable economy.

South Africa is emerging from the global recession with its credit fundamentals in line.

Our largest African economy is expected to surge this year, boosted in part by a recovery in key sectors such as manufacturing and mining.

I think there are many opportunities for African nations as the countries have minerals, culture, skills, and resources. To take advantage of these opportunities would mean to educate other countries/businesses i.e. - business talks, seminars, advertising etc. Linking local and international business opportunities to show what our countries, their resources and people have to offer.

I am very optimistic that Africa will be seen differently one day by other countries as a First World country and not a Third World country.

What is the African Spirit... How do you live it?... How do you share it?

African Spirit is what we carry inside us. It’s the way we were raised, our values and morals, our sense of community and standing tall and proud of who we are.

It’s our culture that we carry within that was instilled in us by our older generations.

I live it each day by applying what my parents and elders taught me in life.

I share it by my accent, mannerisms, how I carry myself, my personality, my ideas, my social skills, my advice, educating others when asked... talking about my country and experiences.

Are you beautiful? Can you share your beauty secret to your fellow African sisters?

I am in my own way. We all are all UNIQUELY BEAUTIFUL.

Beauty advice that I would give would be to laugh as much as you can and to smile ^^).
